Nursing Support

Careology nurses are available to support the patient, alongside their carer and the NHS team in their own home.

All nurse qualifications are verified and current registrations are checked in addition to performing an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

In addition, mandatory and ongoing training is provided to ensure that the nursing team is equipped with the skills and experience necessary to provide a first class nursing service.  All procedures and protocols are documented with relevance to the individual Trusts and healthcare organisations that we work closely with.

The nursing team will be responsible for:

• Providing a comprehensive training programme in the disease state, product preparation, venous access and intravenous administration
• Liasing with the existing hospital or General Practice service
• Provision of respite care
• Supporting the patients in the transition from hospital to home
• Providing ongoing nursing support where appropriate
• Provision of a 24 hour free phone patient support service
• Education and product training to enhance patient compliance
